Time for Growth

It is far easier talking about growth, than it is to actually deliver it.

Like placemaking, it requires strategic thought and a laser focus on delivery, with both the public and private sectors, playing their respective roles in partnership.

Quite a challenge, but we have been around the block a few times as they say, so to assist, we have set out below, a six step process to assist the creation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of growth plans, at local authority level.

It is anticipated that growth plans will become mandatory.  In any event, a growth plan that clearly sets out the local ambition, commitment and how the outcomes are to be monitored, will provide delivery certainty that will leverage in much needed private sector funding.

Now is the time for both the public and the private sectors to engage and deliver planned growth.
